Line Dancing
Now that I’m getting a better hang of the whole free-motion quilting thing I’m liking the look of the look of the line it produces even more:
I tell you no lies, this is difficult work, but I consider myself lucky. Whenever I want I can push away from the machine and take a break, have a cup of tea and put my feet up. I can’t help but think of the generations of women (and men) who worked in the textile mills in Maine and throughout the US (and who still work in third world countries) who never had such luxury. My shoulders, neck, hands and eyes all get sore doing this, but I can stop whenever I want.
And now that I have the hang of the free-motion quilting it’s time to flip the feed dogs back to their regular working position so that I can zig-zag sew the squares together!
