Hand in Hand
I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays. I had a wonderful Christmas up in Veazie with my mother, sisters and their families.
I have been thinking a lot about the patterns for the future quilts and as I talked about these with my mother over the holidays I was struck by the image of the quilt for my great-grandmother Nan. This quilt is based on the traditional Wedding Rings pattern but something in my logical mind always sees Venn Diagrams (yes, I am a geek). Talking about the project with my mother, surrounded by three generations of the family and discussing plans for an upcoming summer wedding, I began to see the members of the family as interlocking circles in space and time, holding hands through the generations: a daisy chain through time.
I wish you peace, prosperity and someone to share it with in the New Year.
