Going Postal

I haven’t lost it – I finished up the postcards!

I always seem to underestimate how long the hand-sewing around the edges is going to take…

I really enjoyed working with the crazy quilt pattern – or lack there of. I’ve decided that I’ll make one of the full size quilts a crazy quilt. But here’s the dilemma, if I choose to do a ‘crazy quilt’ for someone is that making a judgement call on them?

I’ve decided I overthink these things WAY too much. It’s just a quilt pattern. And I’ve decided that the perfect person to make a crazy quilt for would be my great-aunt Norma. Not because she was crazy (though there is a healthy tradition of eccentricity in the family) but because she was a painter and very creative and helped encouraged my creativity.

So now it’s back to Grace’s quilt and pineapple medallions – I’ve gotten 14 done in my spare time so far!
